Elpis Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit incorporated in New York in 2015. Our membership consists of people who believe everyone deserves a second chance. We believe it is our responsibility to provide that second chance.

Elpis Foundation’s purpose is to reduce the homeless population in New York City. 

There is a growing population of homeless people in New York City. According to the NYC Department of Homeless Services, there are currently over 60,000 people in the city who don't have a permanent home. In a city with over 8.5 million people, this means that about 1 out of every 143 people is currently homeless. This problem does not seem to be going away any time soon. 

Our backpacks are personally packed with the hope that they will provide aid to a homeless person and spread awareness of this important issue.
